Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement with the mission to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Simply put, Giving Tuesday is a day that encourages people to do good and get involved in local communities through lending time and/or providing donations.
As a global contributor to various charities throughout the year, Rymax believes heavily in philanthropic initiatives and regularly contributes to the local fire and police departments, provides community outreach in the schools and donates to charities near and dear to our clients, brand partners and employee’s hearts.
Rymax most recently joined forces with Family Promise of Morris County by adopting four local families to gift this holiday season. Family Promise of Morris County is a non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending the crisis of homelessness. By developing and supporting affiliates that address family homelessness in their own communities, Family Promise continues with the mission to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence. For a second year in a row, Rymax has partnered with Family Promise, by decorating an in-office “Giving Tree” for employees to voluntarily donate holiday gifts to those families in need.
Participating in Giving Tuesday and similar philanthropic initiatives throughout the year provides a way for companies and their employees to get involved and give back to their local communities. These charity and volunteer initiatives not only provide support to those who need it most, but also engage employees and encourage them to give back in a positive way.
