TURN YOUR CLOCK BACK IN STYLE
Twice a year we adjust the clocks forwards and backwards to help make our days brighter and longer. However, for some people, Daylight Savings is anything but bright. Some people find that the small change in time messes with their internal body clock and throws off their routine. This weekend, as we “fall back” one hour, we recommend the following tips to help keep you on track:
• Stick to your schedule. It’s tempting to sleep in that extra hour since the clock tells you it’s an hour earlier. But you’ve already gained the hour, so your body is rested. Sleeping longer can result in sleeplessness later on.
• Avoid long naps that make you more sluggish. Sometimes, it’s better just to power through the fatigue during the day to help you sleep better at night.
• Put down the electronics. The lights from screens of Phones, iPads and laptops can stimulate your brain, making it difficult to power down your mind at night.
And, if you still need some help keeping track of the time, may we remind you of the conventional timekeeping mechanism…the watch.
