Welcome to our new installment, Fresh Perspective Fridays. FPF will serve as a vehicle for us to bring you inside the doors of Rymax – where you can better get to know our people, our culture, our philosophies and values.
Here at Rymax, we practice what we preach. In addition to our current employee recognition program, we have also implemented an Employee of the Month program. We believe that when you recognize and appreciate your top talent, everyone benefits. When an employee is recognized for a job well done, it further motivates the individual and strengthens their performance, thereby making both the individual and your organization more successful.
Each member of the Rymax team plays an important role in contributing to the success of our programs and helps bolster our position as the #1 Loyalty Marketing Provider.
The individual awarded Employee of the Month has in some way positively impacted our programs and thus, our brand partners, our clients, and their customers. Today we take the time to acknowledge the Employee of the Month for July, Travis McKowen, Sales Representative.
Here’s More about Travis
Travis began his career with Rymax just about 3 years ago as one of our general office assistants, quickly showing great promise and moving to a full-time position with the product sales team. Travis started in a sales support capacity and then, after quickly grasping the fundamentals of the job, he moved into a sales role. Since joining the sales team, Travis has shown great commitment and a desire to drive business. He has not only met his individual sales quota, but he also created his own set of goals, which he continues to exceed every month.
Recently, Travis has been working with one of our more difficult, long-standing accounts on the development of a large nationwide customer acquisition program. Taking note of the history of this account and the challenges associated with it, Travis has maintained a direct relationship with the client, staying connected regularly to effectively support, their needs and requests.
By fully committing to this client and their program development, Travis was able to secure a multi-million dollar program for Rymax, solidifying us as this customer’s leader in merchandise incentives and fulfillment. The strengthening of this relationship and others that he has been assigned, is a testament to his desire to succeed.
We asked Travis about life here at Rymax and here’s what he had to say:
Time at Rymax: 3 years
What is your role at the company? I am responsible for developing and building relationships with existing clients as well as developing new partnerships and growth opportunities within our industry.
What has been your favorite reward (product) you have redeemed through our employee rewards and recognition program? Definitely the sunglasses. So far I have redeemed for a pair of Oakleys and a pair of Ray-Bans, which — surprisingly — I haven’t lost yet.
What is your favorite employee benefit at Rymax? All of the travel. In the past year or so, I have been to the Bahamas, Phoenix, Miami, Mexico, etc. Not many people I know have had the opportunity to travel as much as I have in such a short period of time.
What do you like the best about our employee recognition program? The diversity of products. We have every type of product you can think of.
If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day? Mark Cuban.
What’s one thing about you that would surprise people? I used to play the violin.
