A 2014 study conducted by TripAdvisor found that 77 percent of U.S travelers worked while on vacation and 91 percent checked their email daily, compared to 65 percent globally.
Vacations are a necessary time for employees to unwind and detoxify their mind, body, and spirit. Guilt associated with taking time off from work is very common amongst ambitious individuals. However, it is important for people to focus on themselves and have a little R&R while out of the office.
According to a 2014 Expedia study, not only do vacations make employees happier, less stressed and more relaxed, but they also bring families closer together. Making your summer vacation benefit both your personal and work life is a win-win scenario that can be easily achieved, when proper preparation is executed.
