FOR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION: the laughter outbreak is now spreading to businesses across the globe; slowly affecting one country at a time.
If you at any time experience uncontrollable smiling, improvement of creativity, increase in memory or pure happiness, please remain calm and consult with your local physician. Side effects of the laughter epidemic include reduced stress hormones, boost in endorphins, tightened abdominal muscles and upper cheek pain.
The “Laughter Outbreak” has only just begun ravaging organizations office cultures and infecting staff members with uncontrollable happiness. Companies that have contracted the disease have seen an unexplained increase in employee performance and satisfaction, killing every negative and dull vibe in the work environment. Research has found the epidemic to be even more contagious than a sneeze and is transmitted rapidly from person to person, infecting unfamiliar positive emotions in the workplace.
The “Laughter” epidemic has become a multi-national outbreak, hitting top companies such as Zappos, Netflix and Google. As this alarming disease continues to spread across the globe, we advise business leaders to become more aware on how to contain the “Laughter Outbreak” within their company.
Laughter affects the entire body by sending electrical waves to the brain. From there, the body’s limbic system extrudes happy emotions, causing the brain to trigger nerves around your mouth and a curve; also known as a smile (pronounced smahyl). Some of the side effects associated with happiness are an increase in blood circulation, reduction of stress hormone levels, lower blood pressure and boost in immune system. If you notice any alarming, positive changes in your overall work environment, please contact your doctor immediately.
Researchers have stated that the epidemic is a building block, helping people verbally communicate and form strong working relationships. This disease is ultimately transforming the generic office space into an enjoyable and productive atmosphere! Companies are now seeing their employees interact and feed ideas off of each other more often, radiating pure happiness while at work. As it takes less than half a second to contract the disease after exposure, many companies are also noticing their customers becoming more infected daily, causing widespread brand awareness.
If you begin to see small symptoms of the Laughter virus from your staff members, please refrain from spreading the disease by following these 3 guidelines:
- Regularly examine your employees “happiness at work” levels with a bi-weekly or monthly survey to measure overall office satisfaction. If the results all remain consistently the same, or your employees do not even answer it, then you have not yet contracted the disease.
- Make sure your employees continue to refrain in any positive interactions, whether that is team building exercises, company lunches, cubicle decorating or planning fun office activities.
- If you see any suspicious happiness or pleasant emotions in the office, please stay away as laughter is highly contagious and enjoyable
